The short version

NeckNerd analyzes your webcam video entirely on your own computer. Video frames are processed in memory to estimate your posture and are never recorded, stored, transmitted, or seen by us or anyone else. NeckNerd does not require an internet connection to watch your posture — only to occasionally check that your subscription is active.

What we do collect

• Payment & billing information — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details. Stripe's own privacy policy governs that data.
• Email address — collected at checkout so we can send your license key and billing receipts.
• License key & subscription status — a randomly generated key tied to your subscription, stored on our servers so the app can verify it's still active.

What we never collect

• Webcam video or images — processed locally and immediately discarded.
• Posture measurements, biometric data, or health information of any kind.
• Your posture history, screenshots, or usage patterns beyond basic app settings stored on your own device.

Local data on your device

NeckNerd stores your calibration, sensitivity settings, and license key locally in %LOCALAPPDATA%\NeckNerd\. This data never leaves your computer except for the periodic, minimal license-check request described above (which sends only your license key, not any posture or video data).

Third parties

We use Stripe for payment processing and Cloudflare for hosting and backend infrastructure. Each has its own privacy policy governing the data they process on our behalf.
